How to Apply to SoCo
Steps to Apply
- Decide which courses to apply to. You may apply to up to 3 but may only participate in 1.
- Determine if you are eligible and learn what will be required in your commitment. Read the Commitment Form to learn what to expect in detail. Note: Students room in a double with a roommate both on campus housing and in most locations where a seminar is off-campus. Sophomore College cannot guarantee OAE registered accommodations for seminars with travel.
- Review the questions below that all seminars require. Check the application system to see if your course has additional course-specific questions (click on the course title, scroll down to click Apply).
- Submit your application. See our advice on answering the questions. Draft your responses outside of the application and submit the final version by the deadline. If you have technical problems at the deadline, you can email your application answers to firstname.lastname@example.org directly.
Mark Your Calendar: 2022 Dates
Student Applications Accepted: March 1 through Tuesday, April 5 (11:59pm)
Decisions Released: Friday, April 29, 7pm. Log into your application to see if you are offered a space. You will also see whether you have received additional need-based financial support to defray the $750 program fee.
Commitment Deadline: Tuesday, May 3, 11:59PM
Required Spring Class Meeting with Your Faculty: late May or early June. Meet your faculty, classmates and seminar student staff in a class orientation at the end of spring quarter!
